What
separates us from achieving greatness? Why do we consistently accept
mediocrity and ‘good enough’?Ever wish you could find the key to
overcoming a lack of strength, skill, or natural ability to achieve such
greatness?
It’s this type of drive that enabled a flu-stricken Michael Jordan to
hit the Game 5 winning shot in the ’97 NBA finals after nearly
collapsing with exhaustion. It’s what drives a father to complete a
multitude of Ironman competitions carrying his disabled son the entire
race. It’s what motivates a tri-athlete to persevere through the last
mile of an Ironman. These are examples of the ultimate difference
between success and failure, greatness and ‘good enough.’
Call it guts. Call it will. Call it perseverance. In the end, it’s
simply mental toughness. The question is: How do we get it? Most of the
information surrounding the notion of mental toughness is subjective,
not clinical. At the
National institute for
Change we hone in on what it takes to push through and
outlast every obstacle in your path.
It’s proven that physical abilities simply aren’t enough to become a
world class athlete. Often times it it’s a crap shoot – never quite
clear as to what skills and goals are needed to make athletes
successful. We currently use Sports Drive, a
scientifically-based assessment that predicts athletic performance in
all types of athletes and sports. Sports Drive provides valuable
insights into athletic strengths and challenges. Additionally, Sports
Drive provides detailed feedback about areas that need improvement.
By taking the time to complete the assessment, athletes take the first
step to understanding the inner forces that drive athletic success.
Many athletes have the physical ability to excel at their chosen sport.
But why do some peak before they achieve total success while others
exceed expectations and become elite athletes? We can help deliver the
Sports Performance Indicators that can be utilized to test any
athlete’s motivation and their willingness to work at improving his or
her athletic skills.
Upon successful completion of Sports Drive, you are provided a
detailed outline of your Sports Performance Indicators,
and a concise road map of strategies that will help you accomplish your
desired outcome. Additionally, coaching services are provided to ensure
you adhere to the agreed-upon road map for success, and to break through
any barriers encountered along the way.
